Electrical Problem
After running my 1992 EZ Go golf cart for about twenty minutes, when you stop, it won't restart. Once it sits for a few minutes, it will start and go once again. Any ideas?

Re: Electrical Problem
My gas EZGO (2001) does the same thing, but not every time. (usually when I am far from home or camp). Have not been able to nail it down due to the problem being intermittent.
I was thinking it could be a problem with the starter/generator getting hot and shutting down until it cools off a bit. By the time I get a wire ready to jump it out it starts working again. I wish it would just quit and not start...That is fixable. Good luck finding the problem |

Re: Electrical Problem
please check if the solenoid is engaging. it should make a small clicking sound.. if the click is there when there is no problem, but it's not there when there's a problem, then the problem should be the solenoid. A similar thing happened to me for a while..

Re: Electrical Problem
Please be aware, I read alot of posts where people state "push the pedal, if you don't hear a click the solenoid is bad"
then the reply is "just replaced the solenoid and still nothing!" You must not overlook the circuit THAT ACTUATES THE SOLENOID? Once you push the pedal you are completing a circuit that has fuse(s), micro switch(s), wiring harness that ties it all in to energize the solenoid. , |

Please check the electrical diagram on the technical manual... it will take a couple of minutes to decipher, but when it's all said and done, you will get a MUCH better understandings of the inner workings of the electrical system. |

Meathead - The cart in your avitar is one we built for a client in late 2004. That was probably one of the first Baja 6 passenger anyone had ever seen. The previous owner is the guy we built this one for... Check your ground wires - ALL of them. There is a small ground UNDER the battery tray that comes off of the electrinics mounting bracket. Also make sure your main fuse (at the solenoid) is connected and there are no shorts in the wires... |
