I have built a 350 from the ground up with the 295 head, Hi lift cam from lvs sales (best price on that) intake exhasut, 350 carb, .25 over, it is a good running motor, but it does run better with racing fuel, and when its warmed up,

Well I am running the comet 1190, and then 15 degree clutch with the short belt, so I made up for some of the lost torque,

Over stock yes, more hp, torque, speed, but what it cost to build this motor I woudl just go v twin and be done with it, but it is cool

This is my opinion as well. I may sell my setup and my 295 motor to buy a big block. I would bet it's making 16-17hp?

I just bought a 28 degree clutch and hope that helps down low. I was not aware there was another option!
