Default Fuel issues

Hey guys. I am looking for a little help troubleshooting my cart (2012 ezgo gas with Kawasaki engine).

Problem Description:
Depress the accelerator and the cart goes as normal. After 20 seconds or so, cart starts to sputter (no fuel) and eventually stalls. The engine will not start. Let the cart sit (overnight in some cases) and the cart will restart and run again for a short period.

Observation:
The fuel filter bulb appears to be 1/4 full.

This issue began all of a sudden. I suspect I am having fuel pump problems but I am unfamiliar with how the pump works. I assume it is working off of some type of diaphragm.

How do I test the fuel pump? Any other thoughts or suggestions before I dive in?

I'm sure I can muddle through and find/repair the problem, but any short cuts would certainly save time.

Many thanks.

My pump will sometimes get some dust and debris built up on the small screen in the middle of it. I've also had snow and ice block that and stop the cart from running.

Run it until it stalls and pull the spark plug check to see if it's wet (ignition issue) or dry (fuel issue) one way to check fuel up is unhook the fuel line at the carb and turn over the motor it should flow fuel it in a pulsing action

Pulled hose, fuel pump works, spark plug dry.. pulled carb and found no issues. The needle valve seams to work fine. I’m hoping that maybe a piece of trash was blocking the needle valve and the bowl was running dry. If the problem is still there, I’m going to have to get serious!
