Default gears?

I Have A 1992 Club Car Transporter 4 Seater With A Honda V Twin 20 Hp Sitting On 12 Inch Wheels With 24 Inch Tires, With A Top Speed Of About 33 Mph. My Question Is Which Gear Should I Buy A 8:1 Or 6;1. I Now I Will Loose Some Low End But Like That I Could Get More Top Speed. I Dont Want To Have A Cart That Takes Two Miles To Open Up Though.

Howdy trans... 8;1's will get ya around 40mph. You'll still have good low end too.

I've got a Honda 20 in my Ez Go with 28's and 6:1's. It runs close to 40, but lacks on low end and it would probably be faster on top end with 8's 'cause it seems to not get up to top rpm's.

You might consider some brake improvements before you get going faster than that....
