Removing Brake Drums
Any tricks to get the drums off? The drums are loose but they are worn to the point that the is a small rim and the pads will not pass over the rim unless I somehow manage to retract the pads. I've pulled on the drum pretty hard but didn't want to break something if there was an eaiser way.

Re: Removing Brake Drums
Stick two flat head screwdrivers in the adjustment hole. With one, pry up the actuator. With the other, rotate the adjustment wheel backwards until you can pull the drum off.

Re: Removing Brake Drums
Adjust the shoes all the way inward through the hole in the drum? Remove the cable & force the lever back a bit?
Did you do all that? |
