Lightbulb G1 Front and Rear Bench

While in a business meeting last week, when I should have been paying attention; eureka! I was trying to figure out how to add hand rails to the rear bench I was building for my G1. The arm rest on my office chair was loose and that is when it hit me… Just find an office chair with armrests.

Here are some pictures from my build of the front and rear bench seat for the G1.

I found mine at a Furniture second hand store... And they gave them to me for free! I went in looking to buy a cheap $10 chair and left with two sets of free arms. One set I used the other where not the right shape.

I am having difficulty finding foam for the seats. I have thought about finding an old couch but not sure if the cushions would be dense enough and I need just the cushions, not the entire couch.

Any suggestions?

I used foam from an old couch cushion I had sitting around and it worked great.

Arts and craft stores have foam, or a fabric store.
