Default used cart buying tips

im going to look at 98 ez-go txt tomorrow... what things should i look for,, im going to bring my cylinder compression tester... but if pressing gas pedal starts engine how do i turn engine over to test without the cart going forward

hold the shifter lever between F and R. push cart a little and make sure the belt doesn't turn. Or to be safe, take belt off.

ok... so if i remove belt from engine to rear axle and press gas pedal the engine will crank but not go forward,, whats the ideal cylinder compression for good running ez-go motor

Above 150 psi is good. It will run on comp. below that but I would be iffy at best if it was lower. Look in the breather to see if any oil is in it. If you see oil in the breather it usually means that ring wear is evident. On your comp. values, keep in mind a low comp. value doesnt mean the engine is bad, it might just need the valves adjusted.
