Would I be better off getting rid of the pump and just mixing the gas?

Jason most all of us gets rid of the pump an mixes our gas. If the pump fails you have no way of knowing until your engine is FRIED. OK don't worry about questions we've all been there and still learn every day. YOUR going to ask how to disable it RIGHT?

With the seat off look at the carb an the manifold which it's mounted to you'll see the oil injector line right(line with a bolt going through it. Simply remove it there and plug the hole with a 6mm short bolt or in some way plug the hole seal it. Now your done and ready to mix your gas. Mix at 128:1 or 1oz per gallon. I like to mix mine in a 5 gallon can 5 gallons 5 oz of oil then put it in the cart. I add the oil as I'm filling the jug to get the full effect of the mixture. Now at a later date if you like you can remove all the oil system stuff and clean up he engine bay. Pump off of fan shield- lines-and oil tank. WELCOME TO BGW
