Re: CC Gasser Limo Build
Nice progress. 8" of lift is cool, what size tires are you planning to run?

Re: CC Gasser Limo Build
I plan on running 25" tires on 8" stock rims, I'm a big fan of big tires on small rims, don't want the shine of fancy rims. I've read a lot and it seems if I go over 25" tires it will really hurt the performance of the cart

Re: CC Gasser Limo Build
Have you already found tires that will fit the stock wheels? I did a quick search and the smallest I could find were 25x10x9. Any plans to help the engine move those tires? I don't know any thing about CC or the motors they use but figured it could use a little help.

Re: CC Gasser Limo Build
motor could always use help but it should turn the 25" tires fine I will lose torque though, i haven't found tires yet i would be fine with a nine inch rim just don't want the low profile tire look

Re: CC Gasser Limo Build
I'm sure they will turn them no problem, i'm not sure how much (hopefully very little) torque will be loss. I know guys run shorter belts, tweak or upgrade clutches and/or change the gears in the differential. I'm still learning so I can't give advice on it, but i'm sure you'll find out.
I'm with you on the tires, I was nervous about getting the 22" tires with 10" wheels but they came out with a pretty nice side wall. I would think 25s with 10" wheels would look even better, plus 10" wheels will be easier to find, better selection and probably cheaper due to supply/demand versus a 9" set. And I would think the tires may be cheaper also for the same reason. |
