Angry rear axle removal?

Hi Guys, Got a 89 marathon restoration project. Have to replace rt rear axle. can some tell me if the axle has a keeper on the pinon side. I pulled the diff cover and can't see a axle keeper. (I down loaded the parts break down of a differential, not much help.) Any help would sure make life easier. Thanks

I think those are held in by a c-clip on the outside end of the axle housing.

Thumbs up Re: rear axle removal?

Thks guys, I've removed the clip from the outside. Just wasn't sure about an internal clip. I didn't want to screw something else up. Amazing how much work one can get in to with these things. One of those "this won't take much to get going"
