Default Price Check - Aisle 5

I'm a little rusty on the valuation of carts -

I've got the 1997 EZGO DCS that I have been working on.

>>The body is in great shape - swapped out with a replacement.
>>The seats will be re-covered with new OEM vinyl.
>>Batteries will be new.
>>New battery cables.
>>Comes with the charger and is in great working / running order.

I was going to build this one out "to spec" but I think I'll just finish it and sell it. From a cost versus value standpoint - I'm not sure if I would recoup the cost of lift / tires / wheels versus keeping it stock.

Thoughts on value?

I would say between $1,700 and $1,900.

That's about where I had it....

Thanks for the reality check.

In your opinion - does a lift and tires / wheels payback at a 1:1 ratio? To me - a lifted cart might seem to sell better - however, if it will cost more that I could get out of it - it doesn't make sense.

If you're an individual, you'll get about half out of what you put in it. If you are a business, you should strive to get more. People view the individual seller as someone who's cleaning out their storage and just looking to get rid of their stuff. It makes it extremely hard to get the worth out of something that way. I say this because I live in a redneck town where the people think new carts cost $250 and they can get a used one for $5.99.

if you lift a car, you have to find someone wanting a lifted car, if you leave it stock, someone wanting a lifted car, can buy it and lift it...

I'm going to leave it stock height. I believe I have someone that wants it - I'm going to try to convince him to pay a bit more for new rims and tires. I think it would finish it out nicely.

It will be used primarily for going from the house to the boat so I will outfit it for fishing - rod holders, lights, etc....

Should look nice when its done. I'll keep poisting pictures.
