Re: Club car just stopped
Welcome, Krypty...have you checked all of the battery connections and cables? Give each cable a tug to check for worn or loose cables.

Re: Club car just stopped
Checked all the batteries and battery cables. Getting a constant 50volts from the batteries and when cart is switched on it drops to a stable 49 volts.
You can hear a click when you switch to reverse and vice versa but it seems the power is not being distributed to the motor. How can I check if it is the solenoid or the motor? Can sombody please give me a step by step way to bypass the solenoid or to check if the motor is working. |

Re: Club car just stopped
Motor in these things rarely go bad.... The solenoid can click and still be bad....make a jumper out of #4 or 6 cable and bolt it across the two large terminals on the solenoid to bypass the solenoid and it's switching circuit.

Re: Club car just stopped
Thanks Scotty here is a picture that may also help.
1. Comes from the battery to connect here. 2. Goes from here to a control box. 3-4 Green wires connects to a coil on the frame. Scotty: So I must use the 4 or 6 gauge cable and bolt it across Number 1 and 2 on the picture? Thank you very much for all the help |

Re: Club car just stopped
I bought the cart secondhand but it worked for about a year.
When I checked the solenoid today that short piece of red wire was connected at number 1 on the picture with the other 2 red wires and one green wire. |

Scotty, In his picture, What is the part under the numbers 3 and 4 with the green and white cables? I was thinking that was the solenoid and he should be jumping those two lugs. . |
