Default Yamaha G1 - Runs but a few ?'s

I have a 1983 G1 that had sat for a few years before I got it. I ended did a complete tune up on it, i.e. new fuel lines, new filter, cleaned carb, air filter, spark plug, etc, and got the cart running. It runs up and down the road, but it doesn't seem to get up to speed 100%. I can pull the choke it will seem to go a little faster, but then starts to cut out as if I am kind of flooding it. Also, if the cart sits for a little bit I do have to choke it to get it going again. The questions I have are:

1. Is there anything more I can do? Maybe some carb cleaner or seafoam?

2. Also, when the cart goes down the road it seems to shimmy a little bit, until I get up to full speed. The tires are new. Any thoughts on what I can do with this?

Thanks for your help. Also, attached are a few pics of what I took the cart from, to what it looks like now.

One last thing. Is there a way to get the surface rust off the fuel door? That is the only place of rust on the cart other than the normal on the frame and what not.

Replace the crank seals. By far the most common problem with these 2 strokes.

Typical as these carts are now really old for the front end to need some love. Check the king pins and wheel bearings, the shocks may be toast also. Check/adjust/pack the steering box there are posts on that. Common for crank seals to be bad, common for top end to be shot check compression. All that info is here. Great old cart though and haul the mail when in good running condition, just a little noisy and stinky lol.
