Yamaha g22A - wont start
Hey guys. I have no idea what I'm doing. Bought a 2005 gas g22A at auction. Press gas pedal, hear click. Usually hear a squeal coming from relay mounted beside the solenoid. Does this mean the relay is bad? Have spark at the solenoid. Help. Really, no idea what's going on.

Re: Yamaha g22A - wont start
If you hear a squeal, could be as simple as a loose starter belt. If you hear a click, but doesn't turn over, possible starter problem. The only way to check for shure is with a volt meter. Good luck.

Re: Yamaha g22A - wont start
Okay guys, I have it where it will now turn over but it won't start. Again I don't know much about this stuff. I put on a new fuel pump, but there is no gas going to the carb....there isn't any in the fuel filter. Any ideas??

Re: Yamaha g22A - wont start
Shoot carb cleaner into the carb and see if it starts on that.
You should have fuel in the filter if you cleaned out the carb. However, once the cart is running it is normal for the fuel filter to not have fuel in it. |

Check for broken throttle cable. Press pedal while watching carb for action.

Re: Yamaha g22A - wont start
Thanks for the help guys. Looks like it's dripping oil from somewhere. Does it have some kind of low oil cutoff? I checked it and it didn't have any oil hardly and I was told sometimes they have a something that cuts off the compression if there's no oil.
