99 DS Leaf Spring Bolts
I'm replacing the bushings on all 4 corners this weekend. The kit didn't come with new bolts so I'm thinking It wouldn't hurt to replace them either. I don't have the cart here at the house so can someone tell me the size of the bolts? Should I stay with grade 5 or move up to 8? By recollection I will need 12. Is that right?
Thx |

Re: 99 DS Leaf Spring Bolts
You are very safe with gr5 bolts since if memory serves, the single shear strength of one is over 7500 pounds and they are in almost a double shear application. 3" will do but 3 1/4" is better. Antiseize is your friend here, goop 'em up good so they won't rust themselves in the bushings.
