2004 Yamaha 48 volt won’t move
Hey guys, first time here. I have a lifted 2004 Yamaha 48 volt cart. Was going up a hill this past weekend and it was like the rear end just let loose. You can hear the motor spinning and what seems to be the rear end spinning. Has anyone had this issue? I haven’t had a chance to look at it yet but was curious if there was anything to look for in particular. Thanks.

So, the controller activates the motor, and the motor spins, but no movement?

Correct. Mash the pedal and the motor engages and the cart will creep a little bit makes a grinding noise. Makes the noise even when pushing. I’m going to pull the wheels off and check the axle shafts this afternoon. Is pulling the motor a big ordeal?

Re: 2004 Yamaha 48 volt won’t move
No, pretty easy. Just be sure to use 2 wrenches on each terminal stud so it can't twist. That would cause damage the cart owners can't fix themselves.
