Lube points on Precedent
Looking at the manual below it says to spray wd40 into the charge receptacle. First, do you spray directly into the contact holes? Second, can you use any spray lubricant?

Re: Lube points on Precedent
WD40 stands for water displacing formula 40. It is not a lubricant and that’s why it’s only recommended to water proof the electrical connection. Coat the entire face of the plug and it should hit the contacts. Do not use it as a lubricant because it will break down grease and lubricant.
To lube the other points, I would follow the lube recommendations as listed and simply choose your favorite brand. Spray lithium grease and chassis lube can be found at any autoparts store. |
