Default Pressure washing the engine compartment...

...before I go and do something stupid...he said just before "Hey hold my beer and watch this!"

Would it be a bad idea to pressure wash the engine compartment and its components? What should be avoided? Anything that should be taped off?

It would be nice to work in a clean(er) environment than the accumulated dust that is in there now. Not much grease or gunk though. That's seems to be a good thing.

I work on lawn mowers and small engines and wash all the time, Castrol Super Clean and a pressure wash works wonders!

We pressure wash ours with a hot water pressure washer all of the time and never have had a problem. Spray away.

One thing to be a bit careful about is the micros on the back of the F/R lever,
either stay away from them , or cover them with a plastic bag.

I've read where some peoples carts didn't start for days because they got them "too" wet!

I hose mine every month, BUT... I stay away from the micro's!

Just a heads up!

Both are great suggestions!

But it seems, I never have my air compressor with me if, and when I need it!
