Re: Batteries drained and possible controller problem
When I removed the controller cover it turns out the cart actually has a 400 amp Alltrax controller. Three wires - red, yellow, and white; running to the run/tow switch were pressing hard against the solenoid's big + post. The wires are melted together and bare wires exposed. Also one of the controller cables were resting tightly on top of the small post on the solenoid. There's a deep indentation in the cable, but it's not fully exposed yet.
Thanks for the help guys!..I have no history with this cart and probably should refer him back to the people who sold him the cart/installed the controller, especially for any possible warranty reasons. |

Re: Batteries drained and possible controller problem
Looks like you may have found your problem? Does the cart run normally with the cover off?

Re: Batteries drained and possible controller problem
Okay you are getting closer. You may have fried your peddle micro switch.

Re: Batteries drained and possible controller problem
Cart rear on jack stands. DVM set to 200v. connect to small terminals of solenoid and press the gas peddle you should have 36v at the solenoid activation terminals. If not, figure which polarity you have. Yellow is pos and blue neg. what do you have with the key on ~ in gear ~ and then with the peddle depressed.
