Re: golf cart speed
Depends on what you consider "Fast" . 40mph,they are fine,as long as everything is in good cond.and safe.60 is another story! Also take into consideration, tires, suspension, and what you are running on(pavement,dirt,stone).40mph off-road can get a little(?) hairy with a stock-based cart.Think before you attempt and think safe!Hope this helps.

Re: golf cart speed
Yes this is absolutely true. I made quite a few modifications to my EZGO and yes I am a beginner at welding but on my first shakedown run look what happened.

Re: golf cart speed
After modding my cart with a lift kit, bigger tires & unrestricting the governor, driving the thing around our neighborhood at almost twice it's intended speed (ie; about 20 - 22 mph), I started hearing some kind of problem in the rear diff. I pulled the plug & I don't think the rear diff has ever had any oil in it.
If your going to mod these things, you have to check things like that, oil levels, brakes, tighten bolts, make sure your tires don't rub, etc. |
