Just a guess, but probably like 25 - 30 hp.

And then you better start thinkin about how your going to stop it. Or steer it.

To get in the 40's you'll need a big-block and a high-speed gear-set.Thats just starters,There is still all the usual stuff like getting the front end right and that type of thing.

I agree with A/J - Ezgo brakes on the Marathons are sketchy on a GOOD day, no way I'd trust them to hook my cart down at those speeds (I barely have any confidence in them now and my cart hits the stops at 22mph) ... Not to mention the front end (as Pachanga did) ... Best if you need the speed to look at a newer Ezgo (or *gasp* CC) and start planning on disc brakes, a decent drop front end built for those speeds, etc
