Re: I want to Convert My EZGO 6v to 8v what do I need?
Welcome Clad, there are several items you will need to convert to 48V. The quick answer is a new controller, solenoid, and charger. This question has been asked MANY times and there is plenty of useful on this site. You can use the “search” option and find many useful posts about this. My best advice is to contact one of the site sponsors and they can customize a setup specific for your cart and its usage. Depending on what you are looking for, there may be other needed stuff.

We need to know what year your ezgo is. The last 2 digits of the manufacture code is the year it was made. H398 is a 1998. Then we need to know which drive system you have.
DCS will have a F&R lever behind the driver's knee and a run/tow switch on the enviromental cover on the controller. The backside of the f&R looks round like a hockey puck. PDS carts will have a Tow/Run switch with toggle switch for F&R on the dash SERIES carts will have a shift lever like the dcs cart down by your legs, but it will NOT have a tow/run switch. Also the actual F&R switch is in the corner by the controller and there is linkage from it to the lever in the center..... |

Picture confirms PDS the controller is under the black environmental cover under the passenger seat.

Thx, I'll investigate. The batteries are not lasting long and has hardly any power going up hills. I also noticed that some of the inner core of the batteries are frayed.
Will new batteries take care of this? Where can I get the best price for batteries under a budget. Located in Murrieta. Thanks |
