G2 intake relocation pics
Just picked up some plumbing supplies to relocate my airfilter.
It was way to dusty under the seat with a clamp on style filter. I will post pics asap. |

Re: G2 intake relocation pics
Nice hose! When I put a clone in with a car airbox I ran 2" PVC under the floor and up under the front body. I should take some pics. We don't really do water, but I was not sure I should put a drain hole in it or not lol.

I like the throaty growl it added to the tone of the engine. It
doesn't remind me of a lawnmower so much anymore. I'm going to add a scoop or box to cover the filter so it won't get damaged. |

Re: G2 intake relocation pics
Did you fined it "bogged" alittle after "opening up the stock airbox configuration? Most members that insatll a K & N style air filter need to open up the main jet...more air...more fuel.

Re: G2 intake relocation pics
I took the silencer off the airbox and it bogged bad, I hogged the main out larger. After that it did not seem to matter what I did to it the jetting was enough, I took everything out of the airbox no change. Even ran it with an open carb for a test run once and no change.
That clone if he nails the gas coming at you, you can hear it grow out that pipe it does sound cool but is not that loud a sound. |

Re: G2 intake relocation pics
I'm running a #135 main jet that i picked up @ the local yamaha dealership. I am also running a modified exhaust using a muffler off of a Honda xr250 dirtbike. No governor of course.
