Smile fuel pump on g16a

draws gas ever so slightly threw filter .is this normal? cart runs good but wondering if the fuel pump is going bad? looking to fix for a friend he says it lets him sit every so often but when i get it it runs ok. took pump apart ,it was alittle dirty but not much.

I would start with changing all vaccuum lines and fuel lines on the whole car, along with the filter! Clean out the tank as well!
