Re: Club Car Precedent I2 Excel Speed Upgrade
Give Alltrax a call, they have a controller that will fit the excel system. Just make sure they understand it is an excel system. It all has to do with the different pinouts of the IQ and excel system. I have a DCX400 amp controller in my 2008.5 Precedent and am very pleased.

Gave Alltrax a call, but they are saying something about having to swap the throttle out to get the DCX controller to work. Did you have to do that?

Re: Club Car Precedent I2 Excel Speed Upgrade
Are you talking about the mcor? I did replace my mcor but I used the stock mcor which in effect was no change in all. The best I can tell looking at their drawings and club car drawings the pinouts are the main difference .

So in your cart you were able to just swap the alltrax controller for the stock one with no other changes to the cart?

Re: Club Car Precedent I2 Excel Speed Upgrade
The was another thread on this somewhere and it is possible you may not have an mcor and instead may have a piece of junk throttle that will need conversion to mcor, you will have to pull the floor mat out and observe what you have. There is a kit to convert back to mcor if needed.
Also, when I went to alltrax my starts were jerky, even after reprogramming the controller, so I replace my mcor and everything was smooth after so it is possible you will have to replace the mcor, if you have one, anyway. |

Re: Club Car Precedent I2 Excel Speed Upgrade
How do I tell if I have an mcor or not?
Also, when you replaced your mcor, did you switch models or was it a direct replacement with another stock mcor? |

Re: Club Car Precedent I2 Excel Speed Upgrade
It was a direct replacement for the stock MCOR.
You need to pull your mat up and pull the throttle assembly out and see if you have an MCOR. I have attached a photo of the MCOR side where the two wire harnesses attach. |

I think you'll need a complete swap out: motor, controller, obc and the supporting stuff... cables, solenoid, diode, resistor.

Re: Club Car Precedent I2 Excel Speed Upgrade
Put an IQ wire harness on it for an i2 Precedent. After that you'll be able to change the controller. Simple, easy fix. Part number 103374901
