Thanks Sorry for the hijack
I left the rev limiter connected and loosened the bolt on the pivot shaft. The one everyone said to loosen and lube to run un-governed and rotated the shaft in the arm that connects the throttle quadrent cable "Black box" to the carburetor cable and re tightened the bolt. It was trial and error until I got the cart to bump off the rev limiter. Rev limiter will stop ignition and re start after deceleration most easily recognized by the backfire when re starting. Then I cut the wire for the rev limiter. Ok for the hyjack but no one has suggested what the click could be yet.

Is it a click or a tick you hear? You say its when you are coasting? Meaning not giving it the padal or gas? A one time click or a constant click?

The percieved click or tick is constant on a off throttle coast. I am woried that it could be the start of a rod knock or something along those lines. Could valves out of adjustment cause such a noise? I have gone 3+ years and not done anything except oil, spark plug, and, filter changes.

Could well be a valve knock. Especially if oil ran low some. Try an adjustment of the valves and see what happens...Can`t hurt
