Hey man I'm interested so keep the posts coming.
I'm having the same kind of problem, very hard to start and starts smelling of gas (flooding). Cleaned carb, fuel pump, spark plugs, & air filter. Then when it finally cranks it puffs smoke and then it run good all day until it sits overnight, then the same problem. It's a 2004 TXT. |

dpeek 27 did you find out what was causing the lack of spark??? I have the same problem and have been unable to locate the cause.

not to hijack. But I spent around $1700 on electrical parts and engine rebuild parts for my 1996 ezgo 350cc about 2 to 3 years ago and put it back together and it would not start. I sold the engine for $50 and bought a big block kit 420cc from vegas carts. the hardest part to changeover for me was the throttle linkage and exhaust pipe. I bought the economy lift kit. Spent about $1300 on conversion then $700 on wheels and tires. I wish I would have done it before I spent 1 year of hell and $1700 on the old set up.
