Well, cleaned the carb out good, took it for a ride, still bogs. Starts to go, falls on its face, then takes off. Now it backfires pretty good! If you're on it full throttle, let off and get back into it, bang! Awesome. Thanks for the help guys, just gonna call this one a loss cause.

FYI to anybody who comes across the thread, a shorter drive belt made a world of difference. Went with the 41" EZ GO belt. Better acceleration and a smoother take off. Lost a little top speed, but it should come back once it breaks in.

Glad you got it somewhat worked out. The plastic piece that broke off is the top of a mixture screw and that circuit I believe may be part of your problem. It sounds like the low speed circuit is blocked so it's running lean at low rpm. I would take the carb off again, spray cleaner in every hole you can find and every small hole you see, clean it out. Also on some of the small holes, put your finger over them and spray again. May find one you missed.
