Default Getting info

ok im not good with computers , im sure theres info here that can help and im sure i could help others. i have a 87 ez-go 2cycle . it cranks over but gets no spark ,the ignition coil tested out bad and i put new one on , i checked the pulser and ohms test shows its good , now i still cannot find a way to test out ignitor , volt regulator , and soleniod , my kids have wanted a cart for some time and the town we live in allows them everywere and i think thats cool , i dont mind the work im a bit lost on this thing .Sorry in advance if ive aggrivated anyone, i have to say its going to be cool im amazed at what ive seen folks do with carts , my kids are at a great age for playing with a cart

First thing to check would be ground. Make sure all your grounds from battery to frame and frame to engine are there and clean them up with sand paper. From there make sure all connections from ignitor are clean and you have power to your coil. After that you still have no spark see if you can find a known good ignitor and try that or do a HEI(cheaper option see sticky at beginning of this section) conversion. Good luck and have fun the more you do the more you learn. If you have a multimeter check continuity wherever possible.

You said you put a new coil on. Did you put a stock one or aftermarket I ne on? The stock coil has a screw on the inside. You have to screw your plug wire into the coil. Cut about a 1/2" off of wire and screw into new coil. Hope this helps.
