Yes, and it's held up really well. I've actually swapped out the top end 5 or 6 times trying to boost the power up.

I don't remember the seals tightening the crank up that much if at all. Seemed like with the top end removed it spun around pretty quickly and smoothly. You might have something binding on the case? Maybe the bearings are not set straight?

I found that it shouldn't come in contact with gas, but Seal-All Contact Adhesive and Sealant can ..has any one tried it?

well finished it yesterday , the cranks was centered in the block but still felt a bit tight, i think it was the seals, but it fired up and will run with out the choke now.. the father inlaw will be happy, now i need to find a G1 to play with.
Thanks with all the help i received here on this site, I think i may stay around for a bit..

Glad it worked out. What sealant did you end up using? Good to know for future reference....

I used permatex anaerobic flange sealant, its a purple color and it stays ply able in heat and cold, and can come in contact with gas and other oils , can fill gaps of 0.01 ,and with a prep you can buy to use with it , it can fill gaps up to 0.05...but expensive about 20 bucks for 50ml... the ser number on it is PX#51531 so far good stuff

the best way would be to start your own thread, that way new people will see it and know you need help as well... i put this one up in the air and reved the engine out and seen the smoke comeing out of the seal, yours could be leaking from the other seal you can't see or it is carb related problem,or fuel pump/fuel filter as well. the serial number is on the block right near the coil closer to the carb
