2002 FE350 won't start, just clicks...
Hello all! I've been lurking for a long time, finally decided to post as my club car has had numerous starting problems over the last year.
I initially had a bad starter/generator, evidenced by worn brushes. This was replaced and the cart ran alright for about a week, in which case I believe the voltage regulator went bad. Before this was determined, the new starter/generator was running very hot, too hot to touch. Could it have fried the starter/generator? I replaced the voltage regulator as well as the solenoid and I can only here a clicking sound coming from around the solenoid area when I try to start. I've tried several batteries to eliminate that variable with no success. Cart in question is a Husqvarna, basically a rebadged club car w/ FE350. It has a "keyed" start rather than pedal start. I'm about to replace all of the micro switches but am getting tired of throwing parts at this thing. I know I'm not exactly going about this "troubleshooting" in the most efficient manner, as I'm simply replacing parts rather than testing them. In any event, any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks, -Adam |
