My 1999 runs and works. The 1992 does not will need a total rebuild. I would like to do a three link rear, and an atv front end on it. Check out my old post about my off-road limo build.. You'll get an idea what I would like to do with the 92 ds...

Your '92 has a rear end designed to work with a counter-clockwise spinning engine, and your '99 rear end is is designed to spin with a clockwise motor.

I think the engine cradles and mounting locations should be the same. But I'm not 100% on that.

Thanks for the info...why did they go to a clock wise direction. What was the first year for clockwise? Are both of the engines the same? Only that the older run ccw and the newer runs clock wise?

ok both cradles are different, the reason they changed rotation in 96 is beyond any of us but we are all still looking for the person that signed off on that one. lets just say they are not well liked by people doing engine swaps. the engines are the same other than the cams.

Thanks nobuck... Yeah that does seemed messed up to go clockwise.... I take it the cams provide for new timing..... Is there any advance in the ignition for both engines? Do they fire at top dead center or?
