Aftermarket headlights fit?
2002 ds. I took out factory ( I think ) lights . Are most aftermarket opening bigger or larger than factory original? Ordered a set. Realized screw pattern was different. Larger isn't a big deal, but if the aftermarket is smaller I'm not sure what to do .

Re: Aftermarket headlights fit?
I've seen aftermarket and factory headlights in more than one size...

Re: Aftermarket headlights fit?
That's what I learned! I decided to rip out all my wiring and lights, noe I m playing the game of figure out what fits . Bigger cutout isn't a problem but smaller sure will be!

What was wrong with the factory lights that you ripped them out?

I believe the factory light cutouts are normally larger.

Re: Aftermarket headlights fit?
Here's something to keep in mind. If an aftermarket light kit lists as fitting Club Cars as far back as 1981, it will probably be a smaller headlight. Club Car changed the nose piece in 1993 to allow for larger headlights to be installed, but those larger headlights don't fit as easily into the nose piece of the pre-1993 Club Cars. But the smaller lights from the earlier Club Cars will fit into all Club Cars (provided that holes for large headlights haven't been drilled out).
Here's a pic: |

Re: Aftermarket headlights fit?
the cart hadn't been taken care of real well, the lights were full of dirt, dust and debris, not to mention the wiring was a birds nest. plus i wanted to update the look a little
I think i may be in the clear. my openings are 8 7/8 wide by 3 15/16 tall.. pretty much a standard aftermarket size. should be good to go. |

Can you get a pic of the lights you removed?
