Default workhorse 480 st sport II

This is just are just quick random questions. the st sport II has a 13hp and can tow 800lbs. the 16hpworkhorse has a max tow of 500. Why is the smaller engine towing more. Would it matter if towed 800lbs with the workhorse. thanks

I would it would be for stability, but you also have to take in concideration the brakes can barely stop the cart itself, If you add that much weight your stopping is pretty much aint happening.

I have put 1200 pounds of corn on my 99 txt ( frt and back racks) electric with HD springs and it did fine, but stopping was not happening.

Mike. I stated that it was towing. For example towing a boat trailer that weights 700lbs affect it at all.

I know what you stated - My comment is what I have seen in the past where EZGO will "limit" the load weight for lifted vehicles over non-lifted, because of the extra height from the lift kit. I've never really noticed the "Tow" weight limits. Either vehicle will easily tow a 700 lb boat.

Thanks MIke. Is the weight of 700lbs gonna put the hitch or the whole vehicle down to like a 2in ground clearence. If possible can you show me a video of any ezgo towing something heavy.

Sorry i misunderstood what you were asking eariler.

What is the tongue weight? is it the 700 or the whole trailer weight 700. If the whole trailer weight is 700 than you will only have about 100 of tongue weight and either cart will not notice it hooked up.

The only things I have ever towed have been my drag cars through the pits at the track. Even the old stock 295cc got the job done. MInd you we didn't have any toung weight as we used a strap and didn't have to worry about brakes as the cars brakes are more than enough to stop all of it.

Will it pul it? Sure

I would take it very easy the first trip or 2 to see what the handeling and stopping abilities are though.
