Default 97' ezgo power loss

I just installed a lift and 22'' tires on my gxi 804d and it is so weak now that it won't pull it's self up a hill now. I was talking to an ezgo dealer and he said that he thought they made two different clutches one was a 36 degree and the other was a 42. The motor won't even rev up at all. I am knew to the cart world and I have know idea what to do. I noticed that there are clutch upgrades but I am not sure what to do. I would really appreciate any advice on what to do. Thanks Jake1883

Try the shorter belt. Call the dealer and get a belt for the Ezgo 2 stoke it is 1 inch shorter. You see a marked difference....

36 and 15 degrees ..... but since your's is an workhorse type of cart it may already have a 15 on it...... prolly just wore out. CPP can renew it and machine it for a lower gear than it ever had... but you can not do the shorter belt and the machine clutch together. you need to do one or the other.

Thanks for the advice. Which upgrade would be the best?

I have done both.....The clutch machining is the most dramatic improvement .... It also requires you ship one off to be machined or ??? Call Tom at CPP in our sponsor links
