Help Needed 98 motor mount bolt size?
Hello All,
Picked up this 98 Ez-Go, it had a bit of a jerk when taking off - - I found that the front and rear motor mount bolts are missing out of the motor-all 4. Anyone know the correct bolt size, length and thread for the 4 bolts? Thanks in advance! |

Re: Help Needed 98 motor mount bolt size?
I am thinking I took 4 out last week but I have never measured them? THey were a 5/8 head so maybe a 3/8 bolt, coarse thread (18-20)? I dunno if they are metric or ASE?

They're 3/8-16, 1 1/2 or 2", flat washers and nyloc nuts. 9/16 wrenches
Should be able to pull one of the remaining bolts and measure length. |

I think the skid plate is an intregal part if the engine cradel support.... better check with MMT before you run it much and tear the motor in 2 somewhere
Keep us posted...... |

Re: Help Needed 98 motor mount bolt size?
There are 8 total bolts that hold the motor in. 2 in the front, 2 in the back and the 4 on the bottom. Bottom bolts go thru the skid plate, thru the front and back cradle and into the engine block.
Course thread - 5/8" headed bolt, so I'm thinking it's a 3/8"? Skid plate isn't necessary - but I wouldn't run one without it... |
