Yamaha Light Kit
Sorry for the repost but my last one has some slashes through it and only one resaponse and something about it being " moved ". I am trying again if any body has any pearls of wisdom on the inlaid Yamaha light kit. Instructions are a little hokey and anybody with a few tips would be greatly appreciated!!!

Re: Yamaha Light Kit
I guess I didnt explain it properly. I have no issue with wiring, just mounting and cutting the plastic to mount the lights

Re: Yamaha Light Kit
I just did this over the weekend on my G9. I used a air wheel cutter similar to this
http://www.harborfreight.com/3-inch-...ter-47077.html to cut a rough hole for each light then used a dremel to fine shape the holes. You should have got a paper template of the lights. Cut them out with scissors and tape them where you want them. Then trace them with a permanent marker, remove the paper and use the tools above to cut out. If you have tail-lights too then remove the back body because it is easier if not a must. The screws that came with it don't hold very well (my opinion anyway) so I used screw clips on the back of them. My screw clips were similar to this http://www.af1racing.com/store/ProdI.../8202449_t.jpg I just used the clips like they were nuts for bolts. I didn't use them as clips. Sounds like you have a handle on the wiring. I found no problems wiring. It was straight forward with no pit falls. Good luck. |
