Yamaha G2 compression
I have a strong running 91 G2 that i have owned since 1999. Always had a strong running engine and still does. Never really checked compression until recently while trying to chase another problem. The other problem was fixed by you guys and was a carb issue. The engine running great agian just as it always has. Well when i checked compression, i get 150 psi max with throttle open. I read conflicting statements on proper compression for these engines. I certainly wont break down the engine at this point becuase it really runs strong and does not smoke or use oil. Just want to hear you guys inputs on my compression readings. I have checked and adjusted valves annually per the specs listed in the stickies. I have built several different stroker engines for mustangs so i know my way around valve adjusting

Re: Yamaha G2 compression
150 is or should be good compression on this engine. Run the crap out of it and enjoy it. These are great carts!
