Welcome Brewtus.

I'm a little biased because Tom at Cart Parts Plus has helped me in a number of ways even when I had not purchased something from him.
The CPP speed spring and clutch spring has me looking for ways to slow down my 97 G16.
I had the CPP speed spring on my 02 G16 as well. With a couple other tweaks to the air box, etc.... I was running 31 to 32 mph on flat ground.

Plowmans also has some Yamaha performance parts and have recieved favorable reviews from folks on this forum.

Both are site sponsors so, you really cant go wrong

Thanks Scott I just ordered that speed spring from cart parts plus I was considering their premium power package. Glad to hear good report on them

i'm getting ready to ship my air box and carb to Plowman's to receive treatment as part of the hot set up. In speaking with the staff a few times I realized a few things. They know what they're talking about. Also, that system seems to be balanced for the best overall performance increase with the tuned exhaust, custom set up carb, and clutch. I have some other parts from them and they have performed flawlessly.

"Hot set-up?" What does that involve and what does it do?

Thanks for the link Ron! Looking at the new engines also but, I think I may stick with a Polaris Scrambler 4 stroke engine

I sent in my parts today. When I spoke with the people at Plowman's they said that there would be an increase in top end, with a bigger increase in low to mid range power. I'm looking to break into the low 30's on the top end and have more power pulling through the power band.
