Default DPI Charger ???

Yesterday when plugging in the DPI charger there was an arc from inside the charger. When inspecting the cart I found that one of the insulaters on the cart plug was gone. Could that cause this?

I unsure if you are saying the plug shorted out or not? Any burn marks on the plug or receptacle?

Looks like you need to call DPI and get a new control board coming.

I think he's talking about the white sleeve on the radsock on cart side of port. There was only one installed from Ezgo. Not gonna be the cause.

No burn marks on the plug or on the cart receptical. The wires on the cart plug check good with a meter. This is the second board on the charger to go bad so I am looking for a cause????????????

Cgtech, you are correct I was questioning the insulators on the radsock and I saw on a picture that only one side has the insulator

Get your meter out and tell us if there is any reverse polarity voltage at the receptacle. Early Ezgo had a reed switch which may somehow be shorting inside the receptacle... so make an inspection there as well
