I am working on a 2005 precedent with the IQ system . Last summer I had to replace the controller but after that it r@n great for two months . Put it away for the winter. Got it all ready to go this spring but now whenever you slow down or take your foot off the throttle it shuts down . After it comes to a complete stop you can step on the throttle and it runs fine,unless you try to go ahead really slow then it quits every few feet. There is a main dropout fault code and sometimes a HPD code in history.I have tested the solenoid and it is within parameters and i even tried another solenoid Same results . What am I missing??

Might be a failing MCOR, but if you have the main drop-out code search around the forums here because there was a wiring issue in the early Precedent that would cause that code. I can't remember the exact fix, but it was something to do with a bad diode in the harness if I remember right.

Speed sensor or mcor possibly.. dunno I’m trying to learn the precedent more, may buy one soon.

i contacted my local Club Car dealer and gave him that part number,he said they have never sold one in twenty years they have been in business. He also stated that part number showed up as obsolete. Another online member gave me a part number for the diode that you mentioned and the part was available locally so I tested it against the fact part. The values were identical. I put in a brand new solenoid with no better results. I also put a voltmeter onthe switch and took it for a drive ,even when the cart shut down the tow/run switch never lost power. I am at the end of my witts with this problem . Any other ideas??

As a follow up the parts dealer that sold me the controller gave me another rebuilt one and when I installed it the cart started to operate correctly . I drove it all over the place without a blip. Sadly when I plug in my cutis scan tool it never come out of downloading program ,even when I put it directly into the port on the controller. Any ideas why since it works on two other carts?
