2001 Ezgo txt
My neighbor has a 2001 Ezgo txt. It is 36 volt and he wants to know if he van add one more battery to make it a 42 volt cart. The reason is we live on a hilly golf course. Is there a up side or down side to doing this? I have seen other carts of the same type converted to 42 volt. I guess you would need to get a 42 volt charger. Would this process give you more power or torque? Thanks

Re: 2001 Ezgo txt
I am a new guy on these, but i thought you could put a little jumper in the control that gave you more torque for hills. I know they have one for speed.

Re: 2001 Ezgo txt
There is a capability for a jumper on a PDS cart, but not on a series cart. Need to know what type of cart we're talking about.

Re: 2001 Ezgo txt
The PDS can run on 42v. You will need a 42v charger.
