Re: Silencing Backup Buzzer on RXV
I have a workhorse. My beeper is located under the seat. The opening on mine is 3 inches by 5 inches, and divided into 4 openings. I stuffed some fiberglass insulation I had into the holes and cut a piece of 1/4 inch foil backed insulation to cover the 3x5 opening, then taped it up with electrical tape. If it's real quite you can barely hear the beep. Will be much nicer when hunting.

Re: Silencing Backup Buzzer on RXV
Do Not go cutting those wires & adding switches. The controller won't start the cart if it detects the buzzer is absent (or switched off). Physical methods of muffling it is your only option. We "have seen" the "fuzzy side" of sticky Velcro stuck over the hole of the buzzer to quiet it. I suppose you could squirt silicone sealer in the buzzer hole to quiet it too. Just please don't go cutting wires, it could cost you big time. I did a new controller on a brand new rxv that the new owner chopped off while it was buzzing. He was really mad that I wouldn't warranty his ruined motor controller.

Re: Silencing Backup Buzzer on RXV
I just removed the negative from the buzzer and my cart works great with no buzzer. Then again, I also have a TXT and not an RXV.

Re: Silencing Backup Buzzer on RXV
I have an RXV. I just put a couple layers of tape over the buzzer hole and it's plenty quiet enough for campground use. In a hunting situation, it may be too loud, but all the rattles and other noises I make driving it around are much worse.

Re: Silencing Backup Buzzer on RXV
On the Curtis RXV, you can use an OEM Curtis handset to go in there and turn the reverse buzzer off in the parameters. I turned mine off long ago.
