Best EZ GO platform to build for hunting buggy
New to the forum, own a gas ez go and used to have a hummer cart on an electric club car chassis. I want to build a 4 or 6 passenger hunting buggy but will also use it around the ranch. My plan is to find a good frame and replace the motor and batteries with something awesome but I don't know what "awesome" is in the electric cart world. Plus I want it to last at least 4 hours or so of off roading during hunts. Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Definitely want 48 volts stay away from 36. Are you stuck on EZGO or is Club Car an option? Are you wanting 2 seats facing forward? Do you want a good stock unit or fully upgraded? Basically what is a rough budget? What size lift and tires? A good lift usually is around a 6" with 23" tires. We need more information to point you in a good direction.

Certainly not stuck on ex go. I liked the electric club car we had but it was too pretty to run thru the brush. Budget of 5k? I'm not 100% stuck on 6 passenger either but its my preference. Thanks for the input!

I would suggest looking at sportcoupe's thread on here "72 volt txt or bust". He built a super awesome cart. You don't have to quite that extreme but it would give you some ideas. (Side note: I actually believe his is for sale still).

Ya that's a perfect cart for me aside from having to spend 6k when the batteries are toast.

Would this be a good start? I'd rather build from ground up on a good cheap chassis that needs batteries, but I don't know what's the best route to go
