Re: Melex 112 No power
Still sounds like a battery problem. Did you check pack voltage and individual battery voltages? Perhaps your charger is not working properly?

Re: Melex 112 No power
All batteries has over 6v before and after the ride on the cart. even put batteries in my ezgo and rode it all weekend at the campsite. Its also feels like batteries to me but they are about 2 months old.. seems like the cart is only drawling off a couple of batteries and not all 6. only other thing I did was replace solenoid. Didn't know if something else could be burnt up relay? coil or something? battery cables look fairly new. I bought cart with 3 12v batteries. wonder if that setup burnt something up?

Re: Melex 112 No power
OK, back to this project.. as I stated this had 3 12v batteries in it when I got it. put 6 new 6v in it. after letting my son drive it til it quit. three batteries on right side is dead...5.75v....3 batteries on the left side has 6.3v. this sucker is running off one side only is my guess. not sure where to start but a wire is backwards or something. maybe the series isn't tied together correctly? this is the wiring diagram I found on the net that looks like the cart. any help is appreciated as always...
not sure which two post to check for 36+ volts? |

Re: Melex 112 No power
You should post a pic of your wiring of the battery compartment. You may have wired 2p3s.

Re: Melex 112 No power
You need to reconnect the battery pack per the diagram. The batteries are numbered front row 2-3-6-5 back row 1-4 driver to passenger.
1 & 4 close the circuit and both are connected to the charge recept it appears you have 1 & 2 going to recept and also connected 6- to 3+ to 2-. Which is like eliminating two batteries of power circuit. 1 - motor s2 and - charge recept, 1+ to 2-, 2+ to 3-, 3+ to 6- , 6+ to 5- , 5+ to 4- , 4+ to solenoid and + charge receptacle. Your most effort will be correcting drivers side. E |

Re: Melex 112 No power
Yes it appears you have battery 1 neg connected correctly. I was just noting where each wire goes so included battery 1 in my instruction. Your number 4 battery positive is missing the connection to the positive side of the charge receptacle. You have it from battery 2.
Look at your charger plug. My old lester has - and + labeled. If not then open the case and ohm the leads to determine. The 2P3S is short for 2 parallel strings of 3 in series and in your case that would mean an 18V pack at double the Ah. See if the pics help. |
