Default RCC Exhaust - Is anyone running?

Hey guys, I'm interested in RCC's exhaust, but I don't want to make my cart too loud. Does anyone have any experience with it?

Thanks in advance for any opinions!

I used them about 5 years ago from time to time. Very loud and. in my experience, loss of performance...

Thanks Mike.

I just figured out that a search on "exhaust" instead of "muffler" actually produces a meaninful result.

I found your post about the mod for the stock exhaust. Assuming you've tried it, can you give me an opinion on how much louder I'll be making my cart if go through with it?

I just did " Mikes Mod " . It's a little louder than the little 1/2" stock exhaust pipe. But its no where Loud. I'm still getting the latest mods finished and driven it a lot. But from the first test rides it's not what I would call loud.... My 1/2 cent

I call it "Emotional Horsepower", otherwise known as noise. I personally do not feel that any aftermarket exhaust is worth the money spent. SUre someone may argue with me on this, but still - I won't sell them. We modified a few stock exhausts like I mentioned in that old thread. There 'seemed' to be a better performance gain from the modified stock exhaust. These small engines need back pressure to operate correctly.

My advice? Keep it stock, keep it quiet, save your coin on the aftermarket units!

Thanks!

I think I'll give the mod a shot!

I don't want any sponsors that sell them to get mad and I don't want to talk you out of buying. I just feel that it is my duty to let you know that I don't sell them for the EZGO because I don't think they actually DO anything!

This thread is like the sled forums. Guys spending 100s of dollars to make their sleds sound cool and go faster. Most of the time no horsepower gain and we are losing trails and riding areas because of the noise.

Hello,

A exhaust is a exhaust!
But it only gives better performance when its tuned on the engine.
A 11 HP engine is a whole lot of difference with a 25 ore more HP.

The only thing that this one can do is a bit more power on the lower revs.
This because of the longer pipe to the muffler.
A short pipe is good for higher revs.
The length of the pipe has to be measured out on the enginerevs.
The opening / thicknes of the pipe and the endopening of the muffler has to be at least the diameter of the exhaustport on the engine.

The mufler itself isn't that important on a fourstroke when it has at least the proper minimum diameter.
The length of the pipes is, but on your 11 hp / 4000 revs, i don't think so.
My problem with your sportsexhaust is one pipe instead of two to the muffler and (if i'm right) the not flowing entrance in and out the muffler.
O, and the two pipes from the exhaustports to the muffler have to be the same in length and not as seen on some V engines!

The pipes on my engine are specially tuned. (30HP /7800-8500 revs)
