Charger or receptacle issue?
I have a 2010 G29, with a JW9 charger. Batteries have tested out fine. But more times that not when I plug into the cart my charger just cycles over and over. If I move the plug end of the cord around it eventually begins charging once I hit a "sweet spot" that is usually pushed up like the top prong is having an issue connecting.
I feel it's a receptacle issue but just start changing out parts blindly. First post, thanks for helping a nube out.... |

Re: Charger or receptacle issue?
Have not seen that one yet, especially on something so new. When those start having problems is usually when the apartment maintenance worker has ran it over a few hundred times. Can you test your charger on a buddies cart or something like that?

Re: Charger or receptacle issue?
Let me clarify what I was saying, looked back at my post and I worded a bit crooked.
When I say the "plug end" I mean the plug going into the cart. Not the plug end going into a power source. I don't have another Yamaha owner near by, but got my eyes open. |

Re: Charger or receptacle issue?
The charge port on the cart side retails for $61.99, but can be found cheaper online.

Re: Charger or receptacle issue?
Before replacing parts try cleaning the plug and the receptacle. I had a similar problem (charger would not charge) and it was solved by just cleaning all the contacts.

Re: Charger or receptacle issue?
Have you tried multiple outlets to eliminate that it's a bad socket? If it's on the charger side I'd replace the plug end you can get a 3 prong replacement for under $5 at lowes really easy to change

Re: Charger or receptacle issue?
Please let me know how this turns out. I have been toying with the idea of buying a Lester on board charger because i am having the same issue.
