Spline Grommet?? Motor Bumper???
Do I need one of these? My old motor didn’t have one when I pulled it.

Re: Spline Grommet?? Motor Bumper???
Anybody? I’m talking about the rubber insert that goes in the motor output shaft. It’s been mentioned frequently when people have noisy differentials. I just don’t want to have to pull this thing off after I get it on.

Yes you need the bumper. It stops the clunking noise when you step on the gas and let off.
