Default Lift Kit vs. Spacers

I have a 98 Workhorse and I've been looking around at lifts. My brother had stopped by one of the local stores here and the guy told him he recommends Jake's Lifts because they are more dependable. I want to put some height on it for clearance and looks, but not too high, don't wanna be too top heavy. But the other day my brother mentioned putting spacers on instead of the actual lift. I know someone has been through this before and I just would like some comparisons.

Spacing the body up off of the frame or axles will give you more tire clearance but it will do nothing for ground clearance except whatever small amount you gain from the bigger tires themselves... Drop axle kits are cheap and plentiful for this cart and they will give you clearance for bigger tires and improved ground clearance in front....Then there is the rear axle to think about.......

Everyone that I know that has a jakes has'nt had any problems with them. One of the best in my opinion. Check with one of the site sponsors and they'll hook you up.

Jakes lifts are one of the best for the workhorses because of how the rear is done.
Ezgo also has some nice lift kits
or you could do it yourself with ST parts and a little work, this kinda depends on how involved you what to get.
