Default G19 Upgrade Recommendation

Just picked up a 1998 Yamaha G19E from parents that left it sitting in barn for several years. Had the kids give it a good scrub and installed new Trojan T875 batteries and all 1/0 cables yesterday. Everything seems to be working fine.

A 6in lift, 22in all terrain tires and a rear cargo flip seat were added at some time in the past and from what I can tell everything else is stock with a stock controller and GE 5BC58JBS6272A motor.

What are my best options to get more speed and torque out of this? The kids want more speed of course and I would like more torque to use it more around the farm.

Alltrax xct-48500-g19, but limit amperage to 400a if using stock motor (big amps will kill stock motor).

Will get you more speed & more torque.

Is there any advantage to also using performance brushes in the GE motor?

Never seen "performance brushes for Ge motor" sounds like snake oil..

What are they specifically claimed to do?

And usually the failure is related to excessive heat in the armature.

cgtech, my wife and I are looking to put on bigger tires (similar to what ReefBum has) and get more speed out of our stock G19. We're big people (i'm 290lbs) and use our cart for golf 90% of the time. Is a controller upgrade all we would need or should we spring for the bigger motor as well?

Thank you

Stock g19 motor is a ticking timebomb with big controller & big wheels. Stock g19 GE motor will do 24mph on stock tires with upgrade controller (also, do limit amps to 350-400).
